3 Critical Retirements + Patch Tuesday Zero-Day: February M365 Update

Teams Live Events, InfoPath, and Project Online retirements are fast approaching. February Patch Tuesday delivered 8 critical fixes including an actively exploited zero-day. Plus: M365 Community Conference dates announced and Copilot Memory rolling out next month.

๐Ÿ“‹ TL;DR โ€” What You Need to Know

๐Ÿšจ Teams Live Events End of Life

Deadline: June 30, 2026

Microsoft Graph APIs for Live Events sunset on the same date. Existing scheduled events will be honored through February 28, 2027, but new event creation ends at retirement.

Action Required: Begin migration planning to Teams Town Halls immediately. Audit existing Live Events workflows and identify scheduling dependencies.

๐Ÿšจ InfoPath 2013 + Forms Services Retirement

Deadline: July 14, 2026

InfoPath forms will stop working in SharePoint Online after this date. No extensions.

Action Required: Inventory all InfoPath forms in your environment. Plan migrations to Power Apps, Power Automate, or Microsoft Forms. Complex forms may require multi-week migration timelines.

๐Ÿšจ Project Online Retirement

Deadline: September 30, 2026

PWA site creation blocked starting April 1, 2026. Unused PWA sites without active projects become inaccessible on that date.

Action Required: Audit Project Online usage. Migrate active workloads to Project for the Web or third-party PPM solutions. April is closer than you think.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Patch Tuesday: February 2026

Status: Released

8 critical vulnerabilities patched. One actively exploited zero-day:

CVE-2026-20805 โ€” DWM (Desktop Window Manager) information disclosure. This vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild.

Action: Prioritize deployment through your standard patching cadence. Zero-day requires immediate attention.
